Volunteers carry red clipboards while they monitor court hearings involving violence against women and children.

Hearings take place in downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul courts Monday through Friday.

Volunteers commit to monitor a court hearing at least once per month for a one-year period.

Volunteers may choose morning monitoring from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm or afternoon monitoring from 12:45-4:30 pm.

Volunteers must be 18 or older.

Volunteering requires an application, interview, reference checks and a three-hour training class.
